Hi Everyone.
I joined this worthy Forum today. I have taken to digital art especially
3D modeling and 2D painting as my hobby . Though not a professional I practice regularly and have tried other 3D softwares but not trueSpace , so far. I am very much impressed by the features in tS after seeing the works
of the members of this forum with proven skills.
In the next few weeks I want to learn tS for which I attempted to download the Manual in PDF format. What I got from download is an exe file which while installing gave an error message saying 'unable to execute file.' . The error is
' shellExecuteEX failed code - 2147221003.
Application not found.
The application was in c:\trueSpace76.
Can anyone help me to identify the problem and guide me to download the manual.

teamonkey : I had already repeated the download , before posting my query, suspecting corruption of file while downloading. I ended up with the same result again --application not found. What else is required to be done.

Unfortunately there is not much else to do. When you dl it did you check to see the file size of the original compared to the file you got? That would help narrow it down some.

Richlevy , teamonkey,
I managed to download the manual. It happened this way. I had downloaded the application (.exe) in a separate download folder . While installing, the system was looking for the application in C:\ drive .Hence the error message
' application not found. ' when I moved the application from the download folder to C:\ , the manual was installed .
What confused me was that the manual being a PDf file , it was downloaded as an application .exe file. and I did not over ride the default option of the the system C:\ .while it was installing
I sincerely thank you, Richlevy, and Teamonkey, for you prompt response extending help.
The manual is massive and it will take more time than I expected,to learn the application especially when my learning curve is not that steep at my age
age(77+).

I'm glad to help... If for any reason the learning curve seems overwhelming, ask questions here, there are lots of people that enjoy sharing what they know about TS and 3D... also look into all of the free video training Caligari has on their site also. It may seem daunting at first (especially if you have no experience with 3D) but it can be done... it just requires a certain time commitment to get over the initial learning curve.
Good luck :)

RichLevy,
Certainly, I will be looking forward for help from you and other members in the forum. Presently I am studying the interface and the functions
represented by the icons, to save search time while practicing with the manual.
I am familiar with 3D modeling , having tried Wings 3D, Blender and trial versions of Maya and Mudbox.
The interface in tS is different from other 3D appl. but the end result is highly satisfying , as seen from the works of the members of the forum and the reviews of tS 7.5 from the net.
