I think you are misunderstanding. Renderware did not drop .rwx, nor did AW.
The file formats supported by AW are .rwx, .dff, .cob, and .scn. Someone had asked about the .dxf file format earlier and that is NOT supported by AW. Neither .dff or .rwx are better or worse, as far as I know, just different formats. But, .dff is not used in any other platform besides renderware. On top of that, .dff is not as easy to work with, which is why .rwx is the main format used in AW. Sorry for any confusion. I hope this clears it up. [View Quote] Big questionJan 27, 2006, 1:15pm
Crazy me, thought we wanted an answer to original question, not a debate. Me
bad. Don't worry, won't happen again. ~Stacee [View Quote] Browser problem d/l stuff...Feb 9, 2006, 12:33pm
Sometimes, certain IP providers have a cache delay of a few days, making it
possible that it will just keep downloading what it did a few days ago instead of the new downloads. Deleting your cache in AW will not change this unfortunately. You end up having to wait it out until it decides to update the cache. If others are seeing the new updates and you are not, it's a safe bet this is what it is. Other then that, I have no other ideas of what might be causing it. lol I know all you tech types are laughing at how I described this, so please feel free to clarify better what I just stated. ~Stacee [View Quote] Error associated with command?Mar 15, 2006, 3:55pm
One thing I noticed is that in the animate part of the command, you do not
specify the name of a texture, although there is a period there (animate me .. 1 1 0). This command will automatically look for a texture, which is why when one is not named, you will get the error you did. It's looking for a texture with no name. I'm guessing you are using the animate as a timer command. ~Stacee [View Quote] Error associated with command?Mar 15, 2006, 3:59pm

I had noticed this same problem. Someone had me check the Disk Usage under
Settings. The default is set to 250 megabytes for downloads, which ends up not being very much in AW. Once that limit is reached, it starts deleting cache, making it so you have to download things again. Try raising the limit or putting no limit on at all. It made a difference to me. See if it helps. ~Stacee [View Quote] Object Causes Browser To Die..Jul 17, 2006, 12:02pm
Actually, if an object is corrupt, it can crash the browser without an
error. It's good you at least tracked down which object it was. If you keep crashing before you can delete the object from your world, just remove it from the object path and then you can go in and delete the place holder that's left. Looking at the rwx, I don't see anything too much out of place, but I have to admit, I've never seen the term "quadext" used before. ~Stacey [View Quote] Object Causes Browser To Die..Jul 17, 2006, 5:29pm
I learned something today then. Thank you :)
I'd be curious to know if the cleanup by Comit makes it so the object works now. ~Stacey [View Quote] |
