Duron 700s cost $40 to replace. When I bought my first I also bought 2 more just for replacements. And I'm 14 and have a job that
pays higher than minimum wage soooooooo

Clothing... WALMART OWNZ!
Car... Ummm? Thats two years from now and I already have a good bit stashed away in a used hummer fund, and college money isn't my
responisibility. Quite simply, I bought two extra because I planned on burning at least one out (never did though) and the 3rd was
for use in a later system. I can't see prices deflating much beyond $40 LOL. I've seen KEYBOARDS cost $40

Telegram from Programmer, sent Sun Apr 22, 2001 12:12 AM:
you're gonna love my new universe - it's coming out tomorrow.. check out the webpage at omicronrealms.darkvapor.com
Programmer, formerly known as Utopian Monarch has been working on creating AW competition for about a year now. Apparently this is
finally realized. I'm yet to DL and install it, but if he took all the suggestions I bounced off of him, this is going to be some
great software. I'm going to try to jack a username and PW for the beta from him so I can get a real look at it.
It at LEAST has an apparent screenshot or two, so it holds promise of some sort. I'm not sure, public release might be available
later today. In any event, Eep missed this one. Somewhat of an AW clone, but with much better support for file extentions and other
wonderful features (FONTS ON SIGNS!)
Apr 23, 2001, 10:58pm
Yep, I know about these too, but the thing is, they aren't official features.

With quality video cards, it makes no difference in speed and makes textures look better at long distances and close up by smoothing
out pixelation close up and smudging them together at distances. Much like real life, your wall appears a pretty solid color until
you get real close to it and can see all the fine details.

Nice to see that one word from me can cause 'everyone' to lockstep... :-)
It's obvious that 'SOME' people are having a problem with the util... What can I say... It's not my util... I don't have 'their'
system infront of me to actually see what 'their' problem is...
I posted about it originally because of it's claim... IF it worked it COULD assist in Alpha. (and after testing it myself I find it
does speed up 'my' FPS while in Alpha - using 'my' system).
I also posted how this util was first brought to my attention... Lockergnome... IF there is a problem with the util I suppose you
could send it on to Chris... ('the' lockergnome)
If you'r the type that sits back and waits for others to tell you what to try etc... Then I guess you may not want to try it for
yourself... If you enjoy testing things out (all kinds of things) and 'learning' from any problems that 'may' pop up then:

I'm the 2nd type...

Whoa, after I've been so incredibly outspoken about the software not working at all, I stumble upon an old P75 that's just begging
for Windows 98. Friggin thing is kitted out with a TNT2 m64 and everything. After getting past the fact that I lost my serial for
Win98 (hadda hunt down a keygen, no way in heck I'm callin M$ long distance because I made a mistake) I figured "ah what the heck,
nothing's on here but Windows anyway" and installed Hare. I now have somthing that runs around a P150 rather than it's original 75.
Apparently it just doesn't like my killer configurations. Of course, nobody uses a P75 anymore but...

I agree with everything you said BUT this. Frontpage I haven't tried, but Word leaves a LOT of garbage behind in the HTML. Senseless
HUGE blank comments, weird characters that truthfully aren't needed, etc.
The best WYSIWYG editor that I've used is Macromedia Dreamweaver available at your local Warez monger's locker.

Just upgraded to WinMe across the board (Someone gave me the upgrade CD cuz they bought full version) and I've found that on one of
my PC's, an AMD K6-2 300/TNT2 Vanta LT that I can no longer enter res's higher than 800x600 without the screen getting all garbled.
This is with the latest Detonator drivers for Win9x taken from the same CD that I reinstalled all my other drivers from so driver
corruption isn't possible (I reinstalled the driver after Me just to be sure.)
I've only seen this once before on an OLD Jaton Trident 2d accellerator that I just took out of a comp (scrapping the thing because
it has countless problems, including the secondary IDE chain being fuxed) but that only occured ON 800x600 and going above fixed it
May 1, 2001, 6:04pm
I'm not stupid :)
In fact, I even stated that I did just that. Except instead of using a website I used a driver CD that I compiled (Yes, I have
enough hardware that the up to date drivers take up an entire CD. Of course this stuff ranges from VSA slot video cards to GeForce
3's and more models of ISA network cards than you'd believe.

Dude, welcome to the INTERNET.
This is NOT Hickville School for Boys where all is fine and cute and cuddly. The world will exist, the people will do whatever they
damn well please. Censorship SUCKS. If I want porn, I get porn. If I want pictures of cute bunnies, I get pictures of cute bunnies.
Anyone that tries to stop me from doing either is an absolute moron. There will ALWAYS be criminals and annoyances. DEAL WITH IT.
Your parents... They're highly restrictive aren't they? They're the ones making you do this. Making you turn against free will.
