Would you whisper your ppw to a bot ,so that a game or sort of RPG thing
that required a bot for every person, so that you could play, becuase of the
issue of bot limits?

Im doing research for a project im doing. The bot would store your ppw but
in encrypted format anf it would be safe in your player profile file. I
wouldn't look in it. Even if i did it would be a bunch of jibberish.

Please don't flame or get offended i just want to hear what you have to say.
I have a bot limit for just enough for everyone in my world if it was full.
Plus one.

Whoever makes the bot shouldn't have it on his hard drive. Instead someone
else should host and it make sure the author doesn't have access to it.
Then I might consider it.

I don't see why it matters whether the author or someone else is the one
looking at the PPW's. Either way, there's a chance that the bot could use
the data for some nefarious purpose, as we've all seen with that stock quote
bot recently......

well i actualy wouldn't be looking at it and it would probly be encrypted
like the Xelagot does in its av99bot or near that. But yes i understand that
even if i do say that i could be lieng. I don't blame you but this is the
big question for me of weather or not i am able to do the project. Until AW
gives us more bot limits then most of us will hve this problem. I ether use
8 of my bot slots for these bots and lose any extra bots, or special ones
that enhance the feel of the "project" or i use the owners ppw and have 8
extra slots. Although i would love to be able to do the second option i know
all the talk about stealing ppw's has been goign around and peopel don't
like it. Sooo...i wanted to hear what you would say before i did anything
else. Sod on't take it like i'm planning some major ppw stealing project and
seeing if people would do it.

and btw i know i said RPG in my sentence. It's not nesecarily the kind of
RPG thats boring and repetitive like AD&D. It's has a diferent feel to the
game sort of like your living in a story. Your not spending all your time
trying to level up and killing. I won't realease mush info yet cuz every
time i do it seems every time i say my plans and the next day someone
realeased someone just like it. As for the bot for every person, well that
makes the game much much more fun. That's also why i asked about avatars in
the other post was for the bots. So anyways, i need more answers pleeeease.

How does someone get 8 bots to play with....
1 - Look up cit name = cit number
2 - Save 2 files... One file is the encripted PPW file & the other is
the general chat file to be saved. [My Xylgots all save their chat] 3 -
You have more than one bot and they have someone's cit# & PPW that you
freely provided. A little trick i used to do ads at one time for
Newyork World for Level22 & My JFK2 Live from NY Radio... I had 4 bots
and one was comming from a friend's cit# & PPW. 3 from one xylgot bot
program & the other from another xylgot bot program on another
directory [has it's own files] and running that one from the friend's
cit# & PPW.

BUT getting to the question of would i whisper my PPW to some bot...
That would depend if i know the person asking for the PPW's or if i can
TRUST that person well enough not to abuse the PPW's I know for a fact
that certain people in AW have my PPW's for any & all of my accounts in
AW as i can trust them not to be reckless with using of that info.

I would contact Flagg (tom at activeworlds.com) about stuff like that... Bot limit increases cost $20 for an increment of 3 bots -- You get more if you buy a second/third citizenship.
