Post all relevant discussion pertaining to the virtual olympics here. The
other thread is for the trash. SW Chris pc hamsterMar 12, 2002, 5:07am
Hi everyone:
[View Quote] Chris, you can take this for what you think this is worth, but *I* happen to think you'd be FAR better off keeping it confined to a Yahoo! Group which you (or someone else) can moderate. This way, you get the bunch of children which clogged (and eventually took over) the other thread. Granted, there were a few posts which are the exception rather than the rule here (the concern over violation of copyright law being one), however for something as big as this, I just think you'd be FAR better off keeping it on a Yahoo! Group IMHO. Finally, as Mayor of Hamsterville, I'll say that I'd put in for a b id myself, however for reasons which should be obvious to anyone who frequents AlphaWorld, I'm holding off till the next Virtual Olympic Games (at least1). Who knows, by then, I just might have enough buildings, roads, etc. etc. etc. to qualify as a host. But that certainly won't be today (and NO - I do NOT plan to use a bot to build my city!! I'm doing it the OLD FASHIONED way :-)). Cheers :-) Patrick Cook Mayor - Hamsterville pchamster at msn.com Denver, Colorado See our developing AlphaWorld build starting at 5000N 285E Feel free to stop on by and say "hi". :-) sw chrisMar 12, 2002, 10:48pm
PC Hamster,
Don't worry. The VOC has their own private forum where all discussion takes place. This one is for public comment. As far as hosting, please, apply. It doesn't matter how big your city is. SW Chris [View Quote] |
