The Committee has decided to wait a year to hold the Olympics due to lack of
citizen interest. The first Olympic ceremony will be held in 2003. This
decision was not made because of any actions taken by AWC. We simply feel
that the interest is just not there this year to have such a large event as
this.

For those who were interested in this community-building and fun idea, we
thank you for giving us a chance. Just remember, we _will_ be there next
year. :)

And who knows, we (the AW Community) just *might* have a way in which the
games could be "televised" and/or described over Internet Radio via networks
of Internet-Only TV & Radio outlets too. :-) Hey....A lot can happen in a
year, ya know :-)

Hopefully by then, so will the City of Hamsterville (which should be in its
full beauty by then - barring complications of course :-)). I can imagine
a lot of other AlphaWorld towns and worlds will too. :-)
