How to ignore a poster? // CommunitymongoMay 4, 2003, 6:04am
Highlight the post, go to message on the top toolbar, then "block sender".
This only remains in effect as long as the poster uses the same Email address in their settings for these news group. Hope that helps. [View Quote] johnMay 4, 2003, 9:15am
You click "Unfair Peacekeeping Practices", select the Message menu and click

I think, a better idea would be to ignore a thread that
does not interest you. If you block a sender you will still see all replies. I don't know how to do it in Outlook. In NetScape you just hilite (left-click) the thread and press the letter K . [View Quote] makiMay 4, 2003, 1:38pm

in outlook, you can click in that column with the 'eyeglasses' next to the
thread of your choice till it greys out and a bunch of red circles with half an 'X' appears(or select the thread, go to 'message', click 'Ignore Conversation'), but i find this rather stupid, because from what i've found, last time i tried this, it still downloads new ones, and you can still see new replies, they're just greyed out a bit with the circle like i said - unless that would help someone, i just ignore threads and click 'catch up' on the newsgroup, like you would have to do anyway if it downloaded ignored messages. maki |
