After visiting other universes, I am fairly sure that AW is not yet quite
dead. Dreamland Park and Spiral Matrix are just a few that use the same technology and their prices are indeed less. But what is lacking in both is people and without people, any universe is just a space without substance. In the case of there.com, they have some great unknown pie-in-the-sky technology but only those within the elite of users can access them. They have even gone so far as to place purposely unacceptable choices for vid cards on their pages, for YOU to choose from, to weed out those that just want to get a sneak peek. It is a very spiteful way of catching the unworthy before they get a chance to enter. I don't know enzo... or a lot of anybody for that matter.... but I do know I like AW. Please forgive me for being politically incorrect but for now, that's more than enough to keep me here. [View Quote] mrbruceDec 6, 2003, 3:36am
That post was started by me not screb.
In recent days, I have talked to both Rick Noll and JP McCormick via the telephone. According to both, AW makes out well with word of mouth advertising and search engines. I suggested TV advertising, both have told me its been tried and is not cost effective, theres no way they can recoup their fees for such a 30 minute spot on television. the advertsing fees out weigh the gains. Both have also told me that for every one citizenship that expires, two new ones immigrate in their place. I hope neither Rick or JP mind me sharing that with you. Hi everyone:
[View Quote] What do you expect out of a typical "Dot Bomb" company? This isn't surprising.... > I suggested TV advertising, both have told me its been tried and is not cost effective, That's BULLSHIT and you know it Bruce. > theres no way they can recoup their fees for such a 30 > minute spot on television. the advertsing fees out weigh the gains. In orrder to MAKE loads of $$$ you have to SPEND some $$$. Do they NOT see this? > Both have also told me that for every one citizenship that expires, two new > ones immigrate in their place. Ohhh.....I'm sure that goes over REAL well with THEIR CREDITORS..... > I hope neither Rick or JP mind me sharing that with you. I hope not either as I think its quite clear that they are content on staying the course, even if it drives them into bankruptcy in the process. Ohh wait a minute....I forget. THEY won't be bankrupt. But AWI will. Now, it's of little wonder why they don't see what a perfect marriage they would have with a company like Live365. THEY COULD LOSE POWER!!!! Having said this, I wonder if it would even be worth the effort to include the AW videos Pineriver produced (which I also have in the new Nullsoft Video format) for my online TV station and its playlists. Heck, if Rick & JP aren't putting forth an effort to advertise and promote AW, WHY SHOULD WE? I'd like for E N Z O to give us ONE good reason why we should. That's all I ask. Just my opinion.... Rick and JP say a LOT of things that are exaggerated, even complete lies.
One time E N Z O telegrammed me (december 2002) saying that the citizens in alphaworld decided that 3 axis rotation shouldn't be enabled, but based on everything I see, he had no basis for what he said. [View Quote] rossyboyDec 16, 2003, 3:11pm
