Well, assuming you're planning to make this in activeworlds, then can't have
voice. not sure about adobe atmoshpere, but if you're talking about
atmosphere, shouldn't be posting about it here in the first place! it being
competition and all :)
for objects, i would suggest using 3ds max. it comes with tutorials, so
should be easy to get you started. it's just pricey, if you're planning to
actual pay for it that is.

I can't imagine using AW as a serious teaching place. Everyone would be
running and flying all over the classroom, with half the students saying
"how do i fly?" ^_^

lol, ya probably. not to mention how easy it would be to cheat.
but then again, with the video capabilities, could actually be done for
general tutorials, but wouldn't really make a diffrence wiether it was being
taught in activeworlds, or just using windows media player.
ooo, unless they were teaching emm, architecture! :)

Good idea for AWSchool eh? Building tutorials using streaming video and
audio.

Atmosphere isn't technically competition. It's a different sort of
product altogether.
>_< at it being for IE only.

nope, it's still got some competition in it O_O
some things you can do in both. like if you wanted to create a tour of a
sayyy, building, or school, or stadium, or whatever, could be done in both,
so it's competition!

There's a classroom 3d Homepage I believe, which would save you the trouble
of modeling all the objects yourself. However Activeworlds doesn't support
voice. It's possible that you could do what some radio stations in AW do
however and broadcast it with the media feature.
