create texture gold,sign bcolor=b color=aa00ff

This is from the Ay-Awards nominations place.

It works sometimes, but sometimes the "sign" command is handled
before the "texture" is applied, so there's no sign but just
a golden plate.

Yeah, I think that happens when the texture has not downloaded yet at the time the commands are executed. It really shouldn't happen at all, but there is the question of how best to aproach doing something about it.
