I have installed it, used it, and have not had a great performance
increase. The system I installed it on has an AMD Non-Thunderbird Athlon
600 MHz with 256 MB of RAM. Similar to your experience, Tribes 2
actually performed SLOWER with Hare running than without it. My frames
per second dropped and missions took almost double the time to load. I
did not try to uninstall Hare, but if you remove it from your Startup
folder (or go into msconfig.exe, depending on which Windows version you
are using), you can stop it from loading each time you boot.
