3D 'Jenga'

You know..someone out there should create a 3d verison of Jenga for the real-time 'True-Play'.

:)@Norm

Think that would be loads of fun and also show off the tech. When people learn new things always best to relate to something they are familiar with.

The Jenga bloacks could be very simple, or detailed with textures to look old and worn...maybe some crude particle effects when the tower falls..all with real world physics running.

Could such a task be done within TS 7.1 and True-Play...?

As i am not currently using TS 7, I might have taken the task on myself, but the idea seems to hold merit as both entertainment and education of the real-time 3D collab.

(This may have been mentioned elsewhere..but I did not see it)

Whilst I've never dabbled in tS physics, the immediate problem that springs to mind would be how to simulate things like weight-induced friction; e.g. a piece lower down in the stack would have more weight on it, therefore would have more friction against neighbouring pieces, & therefore have more of a chance of affecting those pieces.

I don't know whether it's possible to overcome/simulate that issue, but it's 1 that would have to be dealt with to make it realistic/believable.
