Having finished Eight Ball, I'm now in the process of modeling my next re-creation. Creature from the Black lagoon. I'm in modeling mode and have a long way to go, but heres links to the first 3 WIPS, done in TS7 (but I'm not using the player side.)

e-graffiti....
I read rec.games.pinball newsgroup every day, and there are always pictures of machines and parts that people are selling, and links to ebay pinball auctions, so I collect every photo I can get my hand on. The playfield you see on the above model was pieced together from 4 digital images.
I spend a lot of time before I model, just getting all the textures together thai I know I'm going to need.

Very  mr scapino.
Sounds like good research methods. Neat thing about research, is eventually it all aligns nicely when original creations occur. Bet we will see some sweet ones as time goes by. |

Heres the latest WIP. Added the popbumpers and the first of what will be MANY ramps. I'm useing simple transparency on the ramp at the moment to keep the render times down. When I finish and do the final render I'll change it to a real transparent material.

You could start a trend where instead of ramps persay, you have "worm-holes". Could have lots of fun with transparency then! |

Norm...
I did do something of that nature on my version of Afterburner...
http://www.scapinosvpins.com/Afterburner.htm
I had the ball go up a dead end ramp and "warp" into an airplane, which followed an invisible ramp, until it "warped" back into a ball.
Also when you hit a ball into the top saucer, it disappeared and was replaced by a little airplane that took off from the aircraft carrier, and followed an invisible ramp down the left side, until it turned back into a ball.
Its a neat effect. :)

Been a couple of weeks. Just got back to the table. I have added the plastic posts, and some of the rubbers (they are black on this game), and the sling plastics.

Hologram looks great-is it just a texture, and if so, how was it scanned in?
Great work by the way...:) |

Thnx, splinters!
The hologram is from a photo, and applied as a texture to a slanted plane beneath the table, at roughly the same position as the real hologram holder.

Well, after a whole year, I finally finished this table.
Heres the final still of the table...
http://www.scapinosvpins.com/Images/CFTBLFinalScreen.jpg
And heres a video of the game in action....
http://www.scapinosvpins.com/Movies/CFTBLv1_0.avi
The table runs in Visual Pinball, with VPMame running the emulation of the actual roms.
If you are interested, the table can be downloaded from my site, but first pay a visit to VPForums to get Visual Pinbal, VPMame, and the table rom.

Thanks all!
I'll be starting a new WIP thread for my next table "Fireball Classic", an older game that will be easier to do.
This will be my first table made in 7.5! :)
