Yepp, Scanlines (http://scanline.de/) creates his own in-house hydro fluid simulation software "flowline". If I remember right a combination of Thinking Particles and Vray.
Another cool thing done with Vray is this - link (http://www.dimo3d.blogspot.com/) ;)

I thought someone might say that. Show us how it's done then. :D |

I'm not sure about that, but it wouldn't be the 1st time someone had suggested that I was something other than normal.

Althouhgt we live on reality world, sometime we need go into unreality world for get some inspirations and refresh out brain. Of course after get something usefull on there, we always come back to reality world.
For more info about this, you can use google search engine for search words: "quantum learning", "quantum business", and "quantum teaching". This's use above method for improve speed of learning and work process.
PS: Anthony Robbins also use this method (switch between unreal and real world). ;) |

Reality is actually realative to your belief of what reality is...???
anyway-
this is already possible in Blender(freee!!!!)and maybe possible in tS with some clever use of metaballs and some scripting and/or physics.
I think at this point it would be shamefull to ask for in tS7.5(not that, that is the case) we're already gettin a bunch of new tools with a point upgrade, that could easilly be a full version upgrade...what am I even talking about...???I don't know |

Well, If you are refering to blender, yes, it's built in. If you are refering to the video, V-ray is not free, and I think it may be an in house plugin, but I am not sure. |

You could probably recreate those water surface effects in 7.5 with an animated displacement map, yes? |

Yes that would be possible, but the high amount of polygons which needs by the displacement would become sooner or later very memory intensive. |

Is this a plug you sell Parva? If so would it work in GameSpace? It looks cool
and I would really like the be able to do some of the things I have seen in this
thread~
always,

a pity but no I have nothing to do with the plugin.
Not sure if Scanline would sell this tool but I doubt that.
And if so I don't believe that it would work together with "our" Vray.
I'm sure those effects will be possible in the future also at DX10. With the new geometry shader unit, Implicit Surfaces and Metaballs should be no problem but for this special case (coral effect etc.) a Raytracer would be needed which is imho not possible in Realtime (or to slow) yet. |
