Oh lol, it a where we all choose a category of artwork of some sort to work on before a certain deadline, basically a user created contest |

I find that people don't ever seem to be motivated enough. I think I was in the first one a few years back on the old forums... animation gallery. It was really fun and managed to get over 400 posts on it, very cool. Anyway, it might be best if you either come up with a topic, or put up a poll. People would rather click a button than write something. These showdowns usually are really fun, and it's a good way to share ideas, help each other out, and get something out of it at the end. We set a month for the animations to be entered and kept to it, only showing a rare clip of what we were doing.
Just my thoughts :)
p.s. If Hemulin or Splinters will enter it, I'm in :p but neither of them seem to do animation :( |

Anyway, it might be best if you either come up with a topic, Last time we figured that out after we had enough people :p
or put up a poll. People would rather click a button than write something. If they won't bother to post, they certaintly won't bother to render a quality image. |

I would reinstall an older tS to mess with, but I keep on thinking that 7.5 will be out any day now.

I'm in! I'd prefer a still to an animation, but I'll give either one a decent shot.
I do think we ought to wait until 7.5 comes out before trying an animation showdown though. That does seem to be a while away yet. Wasn't it like they told us they anticipated it being released around six months after 7.0? It plays into my theory that if you set yourself a deadline for a project that involves computers in any way, you can usually safely double the projected time. That's how it's been every time I've tried one anyway. XD |
