Don't know if you guys are familiar with Rick Baker; the special effects guru perhaps best known for (where do I start...) An American Werewolf in London. If you are about my age with a love of films then you will know that this guy is a creative genius.

Strange thing is, he's started dabbling in 3D and posting his work over at CGSociety.

Now for a guy 'starting out' in CGi he is pretty damn good. Just check this out;

The Incredible Melting Man...

I believe that was Rick Baker's first full length flick.

I must say that I am getting more and more impressed by Z-Brush. Though high res 3d models are not really my 'thing', Z-Brush appears to have created software that people who sculpt with clay etc. get right in there and create some pretty fabulous stuff.
