Hey all. Just wanted to let you know that, while on my trip back home this summer I got contacted to enter my TS-created short "Aksturmp" on this contest site called Aniboom. After doing a little research and finding it legit, I entered the short, and it can be viewed on there right now at http://www.aniboom.com/Player.aspx?v=2100

...if that doesn't work, go to aniboom.com, hit the "movies tab" at the top, and on the next page type "aksturmp" into the search field. Right now it appears to be dropping frames but hopefully they'll get that fixed soon.

Take care.

Hahahahahahaha! Star Wars meets Red Dwarf meets the Chub Chubs!! There's a lot of funny moments and gags in that, had me laughing out loud. Congrats and good luck with the contest.

Nice job Brad, quite an undertaking to produce an animation that long! Some good humour in that and it was cool to see one of your dinosaurs in action.

Thanks for the comments, folks. If you feel compelled, could you drop me a rating on there? I think you need to register to rate movies, but it's free. A large part of the score comes from the viewer ratings. :o No pressure, just thought I'd ask the favor.

thanks.

Thanks, guys. It'd be cool to see TS get some recognition (i'm not just saying that because it's my project, it's just the only one I know on there using TS). I'm still trying to work out some bugs to get it to play a bit more smoothly. Did it look jerky when you guys played it back? Just wondering if it's my internet connection.

Thanks.

~Brad

It played smoothly for me -when it was playing- any jerkiness I experienced was due to buffering which I am assuming is the connection.

That was pretty cool, despite Firefox crashing.

It's funny how I never had any problems with flash until http://homepage.ntlworld.com/alien42/smilies/swear.gif Adobe got their grubby paws on Macromedia.

Played ok for me, but then I have a 4Mb connection. :D

If you ever have problems playing a streaming video [happens occasionally to me if the server hosting it is slow/busy], in most cases you can just click the pause button & wait until the player either shows that it's got the whole thing, or is at least a decent margin ahead of where you paused it.

Thanks guys. Actually, what I meant regarding the playback was this constant staccato look to it... it's playing at the proper speed and all, but it seems to be dropping every other frame or something. Anyway thanks for letting me know.

Well, I didn't manage to improve playback, but for what it's worth, it's back up and running at Aniboom.com . Thanks for all your comments, folks.

Hey everyone.

Seeing that Aniboom's player sometimes gets a little glitchy, I thought I'd throw Aksturmp onto Youtube. It plays much more smoothly on this site as well. If you're interested in taking a look but couldn't get Aniboom to work, you can check it out over there.

Thanks.

~Brad

PS: Yeah, part two IS coming. Someday.
