Good news if you still have your platinum club membership, Bryce 6 is out and only $6 to buy, so what is that...about £3!!
No advertising with me but I always found Bryce very useful for making backgrounds and skies for use in tS...I actually like the interface. It is good to have a few different programs in your arsenal (really must try and play with Hexagon sometime..:o ) Add to that the fact that it imports native truespace scenes and objects.
Anyhow, if you are not a member it costs $29.95 for a month which you can cancel straight after downloading the software.
Seems a good deal to me, much like the Hexagon for £1.99 deal which I took advantage of...then again, if you got Bryce 5 for free a month or so ago, you might not want to bother.
Just go here;

I bought full price too. :o
So if I get 6, what would I find to be new from Bryce 5? Anything? |

I have also read that in Bryce 6 you can now export objects to use in other programs. |

I went to the site and did not see an "upgrade" price for owners, like myslef, of previous version. I hope they release upgrade info soon as I find Bryce to be a very fun program to use and great for "immediate" landscape creation (lots of presets to work with for an entire environment). And yes Daybe you can export your Bryce objects into programs like tS, that ability has been around for sometime now :) |

I suppose $35.95 is decent for a few new features. I've got to get my paycheck first - new job...transition budget and all.
I do recall being able to get terrains into tS before (just had to flip normals afterwards). Perhaps the export and import options have been enhanced. |

Bought my copy last night and the download was pretty painless; 9 files and only 35mb for the app itself. You can download all the extra content (other 8 files) as you wish but it only took me an hour or less for the full 400mb +
Not really explored it fully yet but I did load in a scene I made in tS7 with no problems.
As for export...not tried it yet. Really oughta read the manual...:o
That's two bargain programs I have hardly touched now... |

actually you just have to be a free member [who already receives the email notices], not a platinium member :) it only cost the $6.00, no membership fee  |

Price for members, but not platinum members was $99. I signed in and added it to my Cart and it came up at $99. I had to take the monthly platinum membership to get the $6 price so not sure how you managed that Stan. Cancel repeat billing after your download.
I am a thrifty man with my money (being a Yorkshireman) and I try every possible (legal) means to get a discount before checkout...this was the only way.
Still, £19 for Bryce 6 and all content. Not bad, and I owe them one for the £1 Hexagon 2 download...:D
Enjoy it. |

well when I first followed the email link I got that same price as you, but realized I was signed in as someone already .?? .don't know why??..then at checkout they ask you to confirm password , so I went back to the email link, signed in and it was $6.00 at checkout.. |

Splinters,
Thanks for the recommendation. I just bought the membership and Bryce 6. It looks like an awesome program.
I noticed that there were a number of other items listed in my download account and I was wondering if you or anyone else knew if those items were compatible with ts7?
Thanks,
iBrent |

ibrent, those other items are compatible with Daz studio which is free with Bryce 6. Pretty sure you can save them out as objects that tS7 will recognise. I will give it a try later...:D |
