Okay first question if the pictures actually attach so you can see this. Should I have any problems attaching a model mesh such as this with bones for animation in TS. Should be in a .obj format I believe as I will be exporting from Hexagon 2 to use in TS. Took me three hours to make this... yeesh. (By the way Hex 2 is proving to be a usefull learning tool for me since I've never modeled before now and don't have access to a computer decent enough to run TS over here. Can't wait to combine these tools.:jumpy: )

Second question is when I finally do get to my TS again. I have a slight problem when running it and getting some hang ups or general slow functioning in TS7. I am going to call it as my Graphics card... Nvidia Geforce 5950...drivers version i forget its like 81.2x i think. At any rate my poor little card is getting a little old and I believe it may be causeing overall slugishness do to the players reliance on the Vid card now. That is actually another matter. The QUESTION is can I simply use TS6.6 right now and alleviate a lot of this slowness until I have the opportunity to update the card.

__>>> Other hardware specs for reference: AMD Athlon 64 FX 51 cpu,(Old now.. getting a FX60 later:) ),2Gigs of ram 3200 DDR,Vid card see Above^,all drivers current as of implimentation of TS7.

Anyway lets see if I can attach the little pictures.....

hey there freaky42. Looks cool. I got hexagon2 during that 1.99 special awhile back but have not used it yet.

But, if you want a killer price on a killer video card, check out newegg.com. I have gotten a couple excellent cards from them in the past year, really cheap. For example, I got an ATI X1600 Pro, with 256 MB memory, for $115, plus $4 shipping and handling. Not too bad. They are probably cheaper by now. The other card was a nvidia 6600. Works okay, but the ATI X1600 Pro works better with ts7.

HTH!

I'm not faliliar with Hex but I've put bones in obj format models before. Can't remember if there were any issues though... it's been a while. It should work in 6.6, but unless I'm misreading the photos the poly count looks pretty heavy, so you might find feedback a little slow while manipulating. Best bet: try it out.

Have to agree with rotcorp that it looks like a heavy mesh, especially if you intend to animate it...how many polygons do you have in that arm?

Ah, unless you've put the bones and animation on a low-poly mesh and this is the higher subdivision levels...

In my current project I have a 500'000 polygon object which I can swing around smoothly with textures and normal maps in the player....not sure how well it would animate though.
