Guess I'm wasting my time here as no one appears to comment on anything I do, unless it rubs against the grain of the clan.

I apologize again for once again being enthusiastic. Cya trueSpace.

I always look at it differently...

WIP's I post as more of a way to document where I am now, and down the road I can see my improvement.

Question I ask... hopefully I recieve enough input to get me in the right direction.

Questions I answer... hopefully my input is enough to help clarify the point enough to help the person that asked

Community... it's always nice to feel you have a positive effect and are seen as someone with a positive message

I hope you keep posting James, I like some of the WIP you have going, and your take on things is interesting :D

You've got to remember what time of year it is. Even the new TruePlace Gallery opening day seemed light. Our focus right now is keeping our sanity and not getting side swiped by a frantic Mall shopper....

I always liked what you have to offer and don't often comment as others seem to do too. Just because you don't hear from me doesn't mean I'm not interested. So there.

I've put up artwork with zero response. Sort of like the tree that falls in the Forest and no one around to hear....still would make a nice Christmas Tree....;)

Perhaps I am mistaken (and I kinda hope I am) but I vaguely remember a similar post around time of tS7 launch where you mentioned leaving.

Not all posts get answered-it is nothing personal...just one of those things.

Still, good look to you whatever you do...:)

well seems like your wish came true, perhaps a post that most people have responded too, see! its isnt true!. I dont get many replies neither, I guess I dont put enough into the community, I try but I have a hectic busy life, infact when lookin at what i do post, im not actually very nice lol, Just want to apologise to people if they think im a totally nasty piece of work, im really not ;-) heh, like what others have said, this is a very busy period and not everyone has the time for the forums as much as they hope, I for example are able to look at almost all the WIP's and Images posted, but I dont always have time to give comments, and for that I apologise, but I do think that work on these forums is getting better and better, and truespace is looking ever more succesful.

So dont go, the best part of work is getting responses and recomendations and you shouldnt ever throw away that oppertunity, cutting youself off to your art community will not be a good thing, lets face it, no other forums take us seriously, this is the only place we have got at the moment.

And also, dont try silly attention grabbing posts, they wont do good for your reputation on here and wont exactly make people wan to comment more, so stick your head up high! take a deep breath! and get to it mister! get creating and catch someone's eye!

It's happened to all of us at least once, don't use art just for nice comments, use it to express yourself. I think it'd do you good to leave any CG forum for a while and reconsider what it's really all about if that's your attitude.

You're right Brian , I just need to do stuff and not worry about forums.

If you haven't guessed I'm severely bipolar even with meds. Read somewhere about some other guy on tS admitting to that. Not sure I have a high IQ like that guy though, mine was 150ish, which is just enough to get me in trouble I think.

Anyway, I get sometimes I don't know what part of me is talking and will probably never figure it out. I'll be around somewhere.

Chuckle! Several of my personalities are a bit bi-polar too so don't let it get to you. When I post something that no-one responds to I just remind myself that it's just a shame that not everyone can see and appreciate my true genius - either that or I go out into the garden and eat worms!!!!

Most of the artists I know are their own worst critics anyway - myselves included - and as a rule of thumb there is always someone out there whom loves your work and someone else who dosen't.

Several ways of getting more replies; comment often on other folks work in positive and encouraging terms and they'll often respond in kind.

Ask specific questions as to how to improve or refine your work - many of us learned by having our questions answered and are happy to repay the gesture by passing it on.

Other's have mentioned the seasonal aspect - all the forums I belong too (except the Terragen yahoo group which is going crazy right now as they've just released a new version) are being unusually quiet.

I'm very sorry to hear about your bi-polar disorder...I certainly sympathise. I was trying to find the artpiece in the forum you were using photoshop with. Do you think you could email the pic? I'd really like to see it. BTW, if you need to unload on someone, do it with me. I know it helps me to unleash on someone. Don't worry, I won't take it personal:P

Hey James. I didn't realize you had bipolar disorder. I also have bipolar disorder. Mine is type 2 so it is severe depression and not so many highs. It's more tolerable since treatment. So don't feel you are alone. I know it's rough.

Bipolar occurs far more commonly than people (even those with it) realize.

@digitaldali - why not come visit us in the blogs (link in the toolbar, just next to FAQ) you'll find a number of interesting people there, and who knows? you may start your own blog. ;)

James, I had no idea of your situation.

I have a wife and 2 grown daughters with the same disorder. Their highs and lows are hard to predict and very abrupt.......and the consequences are often unkind in today's world.

I'm not the greatest at trueSpace due to lack of time (or talent) but I'm pretty used to bipolar disorder. For what it may be worth, you're OK here.

Good times and bad.
