Well i work today in the ear, its my first time modeling a ear..
I need to retouch the uv mapping but is okay for this now..
Im gonna add more details on the head and i try to make the body..
I try to do with quality but with a reasonable amout of poligons.. ;) |

To to this render, i use my roman's head model, last version with better UV mapping, new ears and neck over a model from truespace library...

I'm not sure how his employees will feel (all this time they thought WIP stood for Work in Progress:D ) but this is awesome! Maybe some "Caligari" medal ? |

Prodigy,
I would clean up these areas. The tie should be pulled out so the knot is outward not inward. The vertexes I marked need a little work. The 5 stars on the Badge is ok but it needs to be fancier.
I think if I saw this avatar in truePlace I would have a flashback of Wolfenstein. I'd would be running for the exit! I can almost hear the heels clicking as it comes after me......I gotta go... |

Steinie, as you know i only made the model the head and ears.. i only change the shader and some models of the body.. yes i see too, i can fix that but i dont know if have any sense still working on that..
Roman wants his body.. ;)
i think im gonna need more more free time to make the body.. For me the head it was enought... you dont think how much time i spend in that head..
Yesterday i play with new tools from the player and i found very very interesting to model.. i make the hair in a few minutes.. preaty cool..
And shhhhhh!!!! you see Apocalipto??? remember the part when they drop the heads from the top of the pyramid?? well... i make my own animated version!!
Guess from who was the head. :jumpy:

Jamesmc, yup, can be a good idea..
The problem of this "Contest" is the days are still passing and we dont know whats happend..
Roman, create a full photorealistic model is very ambicius, need lot of modeling time. And maybe we dont win nothing.. :(
And for fun i've made enough..
I said in previous post, its time to choose or close this contest.... but this still rolling like a neverendless contest.. and we lost motivation..

OK my wife says that likenes is very good, I do not have a neck after all:( Also I was reminded that my earlob is very attavistic, if you look at the original 2D pictures carefuly I realy do not have well formed earlob either:( Now back to drawing board with that ear, we will talk about prizes later:) |

Roman, The whole head with ears have 3292 faces..
Only the ear have 597 faces..
The Director of Apocalypto it was Mel Gibson not George Lucas ;)
But im agree i dont like Lucas too :)

I didn't say you we're the winner, just ahead....I mean a neck...I mean an ear...
Personally I would love to see more entries. The most realistic avatar may not be what wins. Maybe the most unique or the best use of polys. We shall see. Also I never thought of this thread as a Contest. I always thought it was a place to submit an Avatar and if one caught Roman's ear...I mean eye... he might award that person. |

Well i fix some problems on the ear uv. add more details and i want to show the texture of the head.. because in the other renders you cant see in details and how i made it....

Yes.. is disgusting but is how you must do the texture of a head if you want to put ears..

Hey.. you remember how i do grass??? well thats an example with 4000 hairs rendered VERY fast over vray.. try to render that on lightworks!! jejejeje
