heh heh, just realized I don't have 7.1 tS anyway, so beta test is not a good deal for me.
anyway, still sick and heart is not in to it too much, so I submit what I have.

I realy like the Roman's face... :)
Can i tellyou something?, try to use the Image Based Light (IBL), its the most similar light to the Global Illumination.. and in some cases is better ;) cause is raytraced... Enable the shadows, deselect Show envoriament and click over Below Groud..
IBL Resolution set to 40 to get a smooth shadow lights.. and if you like add a infinite light with a yellow color to simulate the sun... and you gonna see a very very nice result to your work..
Nice entry! ;) |

Yeah, that looks better.
The head has a lot of mistakes in it and I put in wrong body. That one in the cob file was a prop I had and I can't find the body I made. The I made had ball joints. :(
Right now I'm going to sleep and wake up next month some time... |

Certainly not an insult, Roman's done a phenominal job building Caligari from scratch!
That's one of the funniest things I've ever seen, you should work in Caligari's marketing department as an envoy to LEGO. XD |

I'm glad Kate responded with one of her classic styles. Funny, simple, and a good likeness. Shes right about simplicity often being overlooked.
No one else want to try? Let your creativity go wild! It's fun!!!
This is our way of roasting Roman in a (hopefully) complimentary way.:)
So it's not too late to join in folks. He DOES have a sense of humor! |

Another variation, I changed the eyes to be less burning. Also have Roman presenting his own Business Card to enforce the irony of 3D. |

Woah that's one scary looking Roman there Steinie! Like something out of "Dead Rising" maybe :) I think it's the lighting more than anything, it's those shadows under the eyes that does it. Could be deliberate of course, certainly gives it some impact!
As for the pic with the rose, haha, that is a funny one! Late night in New York after our first public unveiling of tS7 while it was still in beta (that's tS7.0 in beta I mean).
Kate's one is cool, Roman in KateClay is a neat concept. Makes me think that a KateClay land would be fun to visit too!
Prodigy's is funny too, build your own future :) I quite like that line in fact heh. The lego boxes are great, nice work on those with the truePlace avatars on there.
Anyway, this thread is providing some nice light relief, so do keep em coming!
Oh, and we would be interested in "serious" avatars too as well as humorous ones - if anyone wants to tackle that, we'd be interested to see the results.
Thanks!

TrueSpace 7.5 can be for Weenies too. I take back everything negative I have ever said about TrueSpace. I apologize for any Avatar depicting Roman as a Zombie, Muscle Man or even God!

I did suggest that a front and side shot/image/picture be made of Roman so we could post them here. Rumor has it they should be available soon :) |
