There's actually a pretty good one in the manual. Page 353 "3.12.4 Tutorial: Deferred Subdivision Surfaces". At least I really found that one helpful.


There's also a scene file for that one that shows the little character in progressive stages of development. Here's the path to the scene file, starting from your TrueSpace directory:

trueSpace7\tS\Projects\Tutorials\Library\scenes.sc l\sssuperstar.scn

I really love sub-division, but rarely have a use for it...except in my render "A Nightmare in the Nursery," a piece I created this past month...I used it to create a creepy looking hand:|But it can be used for lot's of cool stuff like characters and sci-fi stuff:D

It's not a whole course on it but "Illustrating Products" uses that function in the video to create a Mouse.

Thanks for the tips on the existing tuts. I'll give those a try.


Still, I've always found the courses (most of them) pretty useful. I think an SSD course would be well-received.
