Beta testers will be unable to answer the question :) For now the video sneak peak is as much info as we're releasing about it, but more info will be coming over time, keep your eyes peeled!
The video went out in promo mail, but it will be released elsewhere too for everyone to have a look at. More eye peeling recommended! ;)
Thanks!

Well since it is not released yet, if Tom were to mention something about it that didn't make it to the final version or changed in the final version, then it would be a false statement (and we'd be all over it)...so as much as I want more info, I understand and respect his position. |

Sometimes i saw great things and my brain start to work faster and faster and see the potential of these new tools and how can it help me to make more $$$$$$$ AND MONEY!!!! I WANNA BE LIKE DONALD TRUMP!!! but with better hair cut.. :D
With these new tools im sure i can make great things on my work..
Now i must wait the release of ts7.5 and see with my own eyes and respond my own questions.. Caligari only respond what they do in the past not in the nearest future..
Thats how it works pals..
Stay tuned for more happy days... :D
Thanks TOM.... TS7.5 looks great...

Glad you liked the vid everyone, especially as it's one I put together - hadn't had much time using the new tools eg had never used hair before, so took some time experimenting until I got something that I thought was a reasonable demo of what it could do - still beta of course, and still just a test case so I wasn't aiming for the ultimate in hair there, just a good enough glimpse into the tool at the time.
I had a lot of fun recording it! We'll see what other sneak peeks we can get you. We are still following our usual policy of not discussing too much before launch, but we do also want you to feel "in the know" about what is being developed and where things are going, and hopefully we'll hit that happy medium that meets both sides!
More soon, I actually get to do a bit more testing today too, so that is fun!

I receive promotional emails on two different email accounts, but never received this email. Is there a way to have just one as my "official" one? |

The email was addressed as "Dear TrueSpace 7 Owner..." so evidently no one else received it yet. I'm sure there is a new Captain's Blog coming soon, since it's been three weeks.
The new Hair function I saw looks like the old hair plugin back in TS 4.0 days but with a lot more control. It seems to save the last used setting because when it was selected hair shot out with too much length. There is a new tool shown called the "Hair length brush" which selectively shorten any hair it touches. I saw no way to control hair flow direction which concerns me.
Prodigy wants Hair/Fur to handle more than one color, carpeting as an example.
There was no Fur demonstration.
The Icons looked much more colorful and all the same size. The interface looked much cleaner with no hint of an LE interface. It looks like they are utilizing the stack view better. I saw the "Layout Configuration" there now. The darker tones really makes your work stand out much more. Player is now called workSpace but still being called Player in the demo (older interface?)
The stack showing the hair tools UI looks like it needs some cleaning up, modifiers not lined up. I'm a stickler when it comes to interfaces...
Nip here Tuck there and TS 7.5 is looking rather nice. |
