I can't for the life of me remember if I've already asked this, but I was wondering if Caligari has any sort of plans to integrate TS 7.5 (or later) with DirectX 10. I'll understand if you can't answer for the usual reasons, but it'd sure be nice to know. ^^

For those of you who haven't seen what DirectX 10 can do, I strongly urge you to drool over these videos. (http://incrysis.com/crysis/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=13&Itemid=27).

Matusela..

Hi, i think that take a long time.. "MY OPIONION"

why? because first because DX9 is complete diferent plataform..
Caligari "I THINK" must be migrate all the Player Workspace to the new architecture..

Other point is DX10 is realy newer.. With Vista and you need a GF8800 the only one Video card supporting DX10.. Ati.. Rest in peace for the moment..

I think this new change of DX gonna make few problems to Caligari.. because they gonna need start to develop to support dx10

I see few demos with DX10.. and are awesome.. I think in a near future you gonna see animations like Open Season rendered on Realtime.. and not on a Renderfarm.. Im sure of that i see that trasnformaiton throw my lif

Yeah I understand it's new technology, I guess I didn't realize that it wasn't a simple matter of adding in the new stuff. ^^

Give it a year and they'll have more DX10 cards on the market than there are people to buy them.

I would think they could and it wouldn't really take a long time. There are people who have ts working with vista as of now and if you look at the programming examples (if you understand them) and the way ts' node system is set up we could expect it to be there, but they also might not bother until ts 8 which is fine because the number of people upgrading is not a lot at this time and I'm sure they rather spend time getting the improved tools built for the player. There would be a huge performance increase :D. I'm also not ready to update my computer t least until the end of this year where dx10c is out and the true quad core processors are out (hopefully I should have money to burn by then).
