Use it for things such as band-free gradient backdrops, texture generation, paths, etc. It's also really fun just to sketch with it. Check out this image (keep in mind, this is a vector - so it can be scaled to any size without loss of quality). I do a lot of vector work in Paint Shop Pro, but I've been unhappy with Corel's lack of support for that side of the software in recent versions... might be worth checking out another option for at least some projects. The latest version does flash, pdf and photoshop exports. I'll attach an image I did with the .45 version. Nothing fantastic, but I think it gives pretty good results with little effort. It's really useful for doing logo work and such.
