Any animations that the beta team have done that can be shown? I mean full animation showing what can be done.

Cheers

What do you consider a full animation? The forums here have fairly limited resources for loading animations to.

To put your mind at rest, I have seen animations, and they are good, but they have used Camtasia (or similar) and show the full UI. NDA restricts us from showing the UI until it is final and released. Maybe that is why there are few posted...:o

There's also the point that during beta, no-one really has time to see a piece of work through from start to full finish. This means we generally don't see the good animations and renders until after release, since everyone has focused on bug finding and fixing rather than on making a good animation - people spend their time skinning and rigging and adjusting joints and basically using the tools, often just staying focused on maybe one area for days at a time, etc.

And indeed people don't then want to spend the hours generally needed to render an animation, they'd rather still be using tS and testing. So most animations are indeed screen captured rather than rendered out, usually are showing workflow as much as result, and so run into NDA issues still.

This makes it a battle to find good imagery and animations to show to the world just yet, eg when putting the tS7.5 release emails and page together. We'll be sure to post whatever we can find!

HTH!

Actually, Camtasia allows you to also just record a portion selected by an area rectangle, not just full windows.

Yes, I know...I meant that they have used Camtasia and captured the full screen in their videos, not implying they can only capture the full screen.

Still doesn't get around the NDA though...:(

Maybe in light of this thread more will appear...

You are right, it's just my way to correct things. I come from 3 generations of teachers..I know you probably take criticism well, but I apologize all the same..I do get under peoples skin at times.
