I have just watched the videos on the email I got from Caligari and two of them show off VRay. Now, I've seen the pics, I've read the promo page, I've seen Prodigy sing its praise, but now, after watching the videos, I AM FLOORED!!!! VRay has totally blown my socks off. The speed of the render and way it renders a scene so light bounces off adjasent surfaces are superb.

Caligari, your pre-release pricing of US$200, it's a very tempting offer. But I need to know one thing. As Prodigy point pointed in another thread, VRay 1.0 doesn't do animated textures. Now, this is big thing for me because I use animated textures for view screens on space ship bridges. Do a render of what the view screen should show and map the AVI onto a flat surface on the bridge view screen and render the full scene. If VRay 1.5 will handle this, is VRay 1.5 can do animated textures, I'll dig deep into my pocket and will add it to my TrueSpace 7.5 purchase.

I really like what I've seen of VRay but animated textures is a big consideration for me and if 1.5 does these, you'll get another another buyer here.

Can we get a definitive answer on this? - Its important for good animation, and not exactly mind bending to implement from what I understand....!
