I've been working on this worm-like creature and then I finally got it to the point where I needed to texture it. Well... I need some suggestions on how to UV map it and texture it to make it look good. I anyone could tell me how they uv and texture their character it may help. For example: I would usually make a building wall one color (like red) then I would go through and UV one wall at a time, If I wanted them to look different. I just need some suggestions and examples.

Another option is the UV Cow plugin - super-dooper powerful UV mapping right within tS.
