Here is chromatic refraction (dispersion) done with virtualight.

Sure good if Vray for trueSpace did this :)

Well, with only 1 day 4 hours to go to launch, I take it that VRay 1.5 won't have animated textures as part of its feature list. Kind of a double edged sword, that. On one hand, in all fairness, I couldn't afford it, even at the pre-release price. Though I would have moved mountains to get the money if this feature was announced. So on one hand, it's a good thing. On the other hand, it's kind of bad because I've been won over by the SPEED and quality of VRay and the truth be told, I'd love to have it. But I do use animated textures a good bit in my renders and not having that was a big hurdle for me.

Anyway, TrueSpace 7.5 will be out tomorrow (or there abouts) and then I have to wait for the postman to arrive with my copy. And boy, am I looking forward to getting it. So Caligari, best of luck with TrueSpace 7.5 and VRay 1.5. And hopefully, when VRay 1.6/1.75/2.0 arrives, it will have animated texture support and then I will move mountains to add it to my TrueSpace workflow.

Nice refraction image Leif. Must admit Virtualight is not something I have messed with in tS7 when I realised an object or scene requires a different texture and lighting setup. Perhaps a specific Virtualight tips and tricks thread is in order.
