Hi all, I've just decided to order ts7.5 and Vray 1.5 using the payment plan, but I have some questions.
*Would the payment plan allow me to use my current "caligari customer account?
* After I submit the form, and begin the payment process, would I recieve the package right away, or would I have to wait until afterwards?
Please answer these questions as fast as you can, anyone, because according to the Caligari website, I only have 7 hours left to order.

call customer service.
I would think you use a credit card or debit card to pay in 3 monthly installments, and you get the package immediately.

Yes, you could use your existing Caligari customer ID. Yes, you get the package at once, you just spread the payments - no need to wait until final payment before you get your software ;)
"At once" of course means once you get to the front of the line with the staggered download process after release.
Do feel free to call Customer Services, they will be very happy to help in any way and answer any questions you have, update your customer records, etc.

Heh. The problem with staggered downloads is not everyone checks the e-mail or downloads right away. Some people can't get to it, until at work or home from work. Last couple of times, I think I didn't end up downloading mine for about 8-24 hours after the e-mail was sent out.

Yeah, I see your point...I usually work at least a 10 hour day..(or things don't get done) of course I'm up till @midnight & up @04:00..so I could get in at one of those times...at least at 04:00...(but download before coffee...I don't know about that:mad: ) |

Well ... we have this small plexiglass cube structure, where slips of paper contain a single customer name. At the entrance to the structure sits a can of stick-um, a spray on product used by football players, to assist their grip on a football. There is a local company, that provides us with a special cross-bred terrier mix dog with a taste for synthahol.
A doormat is placed at the entrance to the structure and given a light spray of stick-um. The dog is trained to stagger through the structure, bringing with him, slips of paper on his paws. As he exits the structure, an air-pressured hose releases air into the structure to facilitate random-selection of the slips as the dog makes his way through the structure.
Slips of paper are then processed untill all slips of paper are accounted for.
The main problem this year was with the comany contracting the trained terrier. It seems the terrier slipped away for a bit of practice at a local pub. Turns out the pub was a customer of a dog-food-manufacturer, who purchased bogus wheat-protein product from an ... eastern supplier. Needless to say, combined with a full regiment of synthahol consumption, the terrier was no longer capable to perform his duties. At moment, everything he downloads ... uploads in short order.
Apparently the local company had a dog-double to stand-in for the trained terrier. Problem for them was the two of them headed to the pub together, along with an assortment of up-and-coming possibles, following close behind.
So while the universe conspired against us, we got news of a cat up in North-western Idaho, that seems to have a natural stagger and a fancy for beef-on-a-bun. The cat was flown into Sacramento via an emergency West-jet flight. We are back on track now though.
... and we now return you to your regularly scheduled release .... |

Norm - Awesome post, laughed a good laugh today. Thank you.
I was half expecting, while reading your colorful story, that this year the dog had suffered the loss of a leg, thus reducing the number of notes per pass ;p but to compensate, work was being applied to figure out a way to use the dog's tail. |

In all seriousness though, you have to trust that everything is in place and that Roman and Bibiana have a process in place to cover the scenario. It is a bit of a frantic time for us though so hopefully you will bear with us. The office staff will be stressed trying to keep everyone happy. I expect unprecidented activity here in the forums as well as on tech support email-bag.
Part of me posted my comedy in hopes everyone can keep their sense of humor and excitement alive through this process. Part of me also realizes all the time we have to take to answer questions here in forums and on the phone and via email takes time away from the process at hand. We all feel deep scencerity to be as productive as possible during this process.

There's been another related development too... in the confusion outside Remy's house someone stole her car and made a quick getaway... but they didn't make it far before the Press Helicopters spotted the vehicle (thinking she had slipped away with the cat) and now there's a chase going on the California-Nevada highway where the State Troopers have almost caught up to the vehicle...
