I'm 100% sure except for the time. I'm at work and so my email will have to wait until I get home. Can anyone else back me up with information and time 8:00 PM (EST or PST)

With the launch of trueSpace7.5 and V-Ray 1.5 next week, we are planning to celebrate with you, our users, with a live party in truePlace on Wednesday May 9th at 8pm Eastern time!

Thank You Steinie and jayr. Now I just need to make sure I can logon to trueplace. We moved to Virginia and ended up getting Verizon FiOS (SWEET!), so our router is different. I may need to change some settings.

Hi, yes, 8pm Eastern (so 5pm Pacific, 7pm Central). Most users are on Eastern time so we wanted to give them time to be home from work etc. If we did that for West coast, then it would push the East coast back into quite a late hour at night - and of course it is bad for Europe at any of those times.
Note that "most" just means a majority are East coast, not a huge majority, I guess most is not a good word. It just made sense though to use Eastern time as the basis for it.
Naturally there is no perfect solution to this one in picking a time :( I hope many can be there though!

Is the prize drawing going to be only for those that are actually online at the party? Or is it for everyone who ordered? The reason I am asking is, there is also an interview with the winner scheduled.

Might be good to have a link to the forum space on that party info page so everyone ends up in the right place. ;)
Edit: Might be a good idea to have a link to that info page from the main page too as it seems some people didn't get emails. |

i'm definatley goning to be there, i've never seen more than one other person in trueplace before so this is going to be quite strange, all those be-hatted cones floating around! i'll just have bags under my eyes as i'm downloading 7.5 tomorrow! |

Say, anyone have any ideas for animations they want to try out with the new animation tools? I have quite a few already documented and put into a folder in one of my file cabinets. Actually, they've been there for years :-D Now I have a chance to actually implement them much more easily! |

Up to this point, I've never even tried an animation before...I use 3D primarily for creating reference for Painting - but I think I'll definitely have to finally try it with 7.5.

I have a ton of ideas but I have to learn the bone system first. I think if I started now I would have a bone sticking out of a nostril or worse! |

i've got a whole story ready to be animated! I'm going to do somrthing like a movie trailer for it all first, just to see if i'm able to stick with it before i try and jump in to a whole story line. |

What would really be awful would be, at the party tonight, when Roman says, "And the Winner is...... " then suddenly, the connection gets dropped. I hope that does not happen! I was thinking about this, since I assume there will be LOTS of people online, and as such, lots of server loading.
