Set #1

3 - CG

4 - CG

5 - CG

Set #2

1 - CG

2 - Real

3 - CG (Background looks real though!)

4 - CG

Set #3

2 - CG

3 - CG

But they are all tough to tell.

Statistically, if I flipped a coin for my answers over many many image sets I'd ultimately converge upon the same score! (50%) The good news is that if I picked exactly the opposite of my current choices it would have the same end result. :D

Just goes to show you that the human mind can be just as effective tricking you out of the right answer as it is in steering you away from the wrong ones!

A fun and surprisingly complex challenge Prodigy!!! This wasn't such a hard task back in the 80's :)

I think the problem is that some of the real ones have been photoshopped to remove their backgrounds. Thus making them look CG. ;)

Set 3:

3 CG (or photoshopped a fair bit LOL)

Ah but people late to the thread have more information now like the Mastermind game with the pegs so we can cheat :)

The images with sub-surface scattering are rendered images. I will leave it as a test for you to work out which those are <runs away>
