Whoa just found this:

It's a 160MB video tutorial on using Ulltimate Unrap 3D to UV map your models.

Great, thanks, but are you suggesting that the integrated UV mapper of tS 7.5 is still not up to the task? :(

I think we're still under NDA for a few hours LOL. So I'll have to plead the 5th.

Though I think I can say, that while I wouldn't say it's not up to the task, that doesn't mean that there aren't other tools out there that could be very useful in certain situations or quicker at certain tasks. So far all the UV mapping for the Computator5000 model except for the base was done in the beta and release candidate. The base I did in the hell that is UVE on model side.........:( :p So it's definitely an improvement over the old UVE, LOL.

Also since I've been focusing a fair bit of my beta testing time on the new UVE I think I can help you guys get the most out of it. I've been promising a UV tutorial anyway, so maybe I'll put something together.

I just finished watching the video linked above as well. It's pretty good stuff and there's a lot to learn if you're fairly new to UVing. Some good tips and tricks in there too.

Alright, I started watching the videos and they are indeed helpful. I'll wait to get my copy of tS 7.5 until I decide whether or not to also get UU3D, it could still be very useful.

I'm sure we could use a few additional tutorials on UV mapping, there just is never enough information on how to do it right and efficiently. I'll get back to you when I've tried my hand at the new(er) UV editor. So thanks for the offer. :D
