Hi all,
An update on the situation.
First, do please check spam and junk mail folders, and the deleted mails, just in case your spam and junk mail filters have decided you don't want 7.5 :)
Next, emails are going out in chronological order, within certain groupings though so its not exact. For one thing, those entitled to a free upgrade are going out after those who paid explicitly for the upgrade. This means some people who pre-ordered tS7.0 for instance may be waiting much longer than someone who bought tS7.5 from owning tS6.6 for instance.
Also, as many have noticed, V-Ray is emailed separately in many cases, and may arrive before or after your tS7.5 mail.
So don't panic if you see someone who ordered last month, and you ordered a long time ago, that is often correct!
Next, emails can take a while to get there, so do please be patient. Several hours of delays or more between sending and receiving is not unheard of.
Finally, if you have not received your email by the end of today, please contact customer services (by email or telephone) and we will look into the situation for you.
Up until the end of today though, it is expected that some people will not have received their email yet, so no cause for alarm that something is broken.
We appreciate your patience while we work our way through gettings the software and emails out to everyone. The wait should be over very soon for each and every one of our tS7.5 users though, so that is the good news!

EDIT - if you want to post about not receiving your mail yet, or receiving it, could I ask you do so in this one thread ? Keeping all the messages in one place will help us double check how the process is going, rather than having the posts in three separate threads. Use this thread for that purpose in any way you like! |

Thank You for clearing that up Tom. From a business point of view that does make sense: you can get it for free but you gotta wait the longest! :)

Since mails are going through alot of server, they sometimes stuck for a longer or shorter period of time on relay servers, so plus minus 2 days is not strange at all, it keeps trying to send every 4 th hour or if set invidually and the recieving server must also accept it.
-2 days is maybe a bit to much ;) but anyway, mails takes the strangest paths...

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I don't mean to be, but I take it these emails are for people who ordered the download version. Am I right in saying that those of us who ordered the boxed version shouldn't expect an email today or for some time yet (if ever)? |

No the emails go to everyone, since if you ordered a boxed version, you still get to download it immediately while you wait for your boxed copy to show up. Same with CD.
Basically, downloads are available for all. CD and Boxed just gets you the hard copy for backup purposes, for printed (tS7) manual, and for coolness / historical value, and of course for those with slow downloads, the availability of the download will not change their need to wait for thCD / Box.
So, everyone should get an email, regardless of version.

Oh wow! That's great news! I wasn't expecting to get my hands on TrueSpace 7.5 till the boxed version arrived in two or three weeks time. I'll be keeping my eye on the email now. Thanks, Tom. |

I pre-ordered 7.1 and am in line for a free 7.5 upgrade. I just received the 7.5 download e-mail in the last 2 hours. Folks in this category should have joy soon. :) (I got the VRay email last night.) It's going to be a fun weekend.:banana: |

finally downloading..will take hours on dialup..
seems they mixed up my order, made a call to Remy at customer service to sort it out..they put vray in my 7/25/06 purchase of ts 7.5 and not in a proper one dated this april [07] so they didn't have ts7.5 on the list, even know it's been on the list since july 2006 .. good grief.. at least thats all sorted out now...:(

I just noticed that my customer profile somehow has the email address of my assistant listed instead of mine. The company credit card is in his name as he actually makes all the purchases and keeps our books. It's possible he got the email and not me, so I asked him to forward anything he may find (see update).
In the meantime I updated the profile to my email address. Hopefully this will all sort itself out soon.
UPDATE: The only email recvd by my assistant was for the VRay 1.5 download. I have sent an email to custsrv |

I joined proTeam prior to release solely based on the card I received announcing the upcoming animation features of trueSpace "Rosetta" - the new animation features were the ONLY thing I joined for. I'm supposed to beleive I would have spent $600 for any other reason?

Since the big boss is here addressing problems on the weekend I thought I'd jump in with my problem. ;)
I'll try and be brief.
1) received an email on 1/4/2006 stating that as a former proteam member I would receive 7.1. This was in response to the dissatisfaction of certain proteam members, including myself.
Here is a quote. And remember at this time 7.1 was supposed to include the animation stuff.
proTeam is important to us, and we want to do everything possible that it lives up to your expectations. We decided that you and every proTeam member who renewed their proTeam membership at least once since July 2004, will receive the upgrade to trueSpace7.1 at no charge on its release regardless of whether or not you renewed your proTeam membership since then. trueSpace7.1 will be a significant upgrade, and means that you will find yourself fully up-to-date with trueSpace well into 2006.
2) On 3/11/2006 Roman stated in the forums that those promised 7.1 would get 7.5.
"I did not have heart to call this version 7.02 so we are renaming it to 7.1. This means that next upgrade with character animation stuff will be called 7.5 and yes it will be a free upgrade to those customers who were promised free TS7.1."

When I inquired with Caligari when I would be able to get TS 7.5 I was told I was only promised 7.1, which by the way was a free update.
Others out there may be in the same boat I'm in. I'm sure that this problem is just a misunderstanding and that it will be rectified pretty quickly by the big boss.:jumpy:
