Is Workspace DXx only or?

Guess it's time for new graphics card then.

No problem in model mode but don't want to waste time there ;)

Is Workspace DXx only or?DX9 - preferably with pixel shader 2.0.

Depends what card you have. Workspace rendering is scalable (so you can turn down the quality).

Guess it's time for new graphics card then.Probably a good idea if you're not getting a good result now. Make sure that it "fully" supports DX9.0c.

Guess it's time for new graphics card then.DX9 card is absolutely vital you will miss much by not having it. There is plenty of affordable DX9 cards avaialable, it will be best investment in your system (other then TS7.5) you can make.

I recommend a fully DX9 shader model three (SM3) card, I know confusing.

Shader model 2 cards like Radeon 9xxx series will not be able to process all the rendering capabilities of tS7.5, as in filtered shadows, transparent shadows, some of the post process effects.

DX9 SM2b cards (ATI Radeon 8XX series) will fully support tS7.5 effects but for custom shaders using HLSL bricks using SM3 these cards will not support.

Fully SM3 cards are as follows:

All Nvidia 6xxx, 7xxx and 8xxx lines of video cards

All ATI Radeon X1xxx series of cards except for the X1300 (this is actually a SM2 card)

The 8xxx series from Nvidia and new ATI X2XXX series are also DX10 capable cards in which tS doesn't support DX10 but these cards will fully support tS7.5.

Nice cards that support tS7.5 can be had for less then $100 US dollar. Very powerful cards around $200, then of course mega powerful cards $400 plus.

I have an XFX Geforce 7900GT which is one of the top of the range 7xxx series (thankyou Caligari) and workspace flies on it...as 8xxx cards are now the norm you can get this sort of card very cheap now...:D
