hi folks. I was just playing around with the displacement brush (per Roman's recommendation), and came up with a little demon head (albeit very simplified). Sure it looks cheesy but hey, what do you expect from a first time displacement brush user? Looks like the displacement brush is a very useful tool for quickly sketching out character ideas. Here is a snapshot and a SCN file if you want to play with it.
The one thing that would be nice would to be to have a FIle Save option in Workspace, rather than having to switch to model to do that.
I like 7.5 so far... just like learning 4.3, and 5, 5.2, 6, 6.5, etc., it'll just take some practice.

Workspace's new Library system is really awesome IMHO. It is here where you can load, insert, save, replace, import, export, rename, change thumbnail, discription, and properties. Right click is your friend :) |

AHA! You know, this functionality was in 7 and 7.1 wasn't it? Man. I sure missed the boat huh? I didn't even think about that.
Thanks TrueBlue!

Good point, but considering how often a modeler/texture artist/animator needs to switch between different applications when dealing with a single model, a more traditional file menu would be a great addition - and it's already there in the Modeler view, so why not add it to the Workspace view as well? Compatibility with other applications is a must for any serious 3D animation program. |
