Can someone tell me exactly how to access the postprocessings settings panel?
In the manual, page 89, it shows the icon for the configuration library from the modelling mode.
Also, on another note, the info panel doesn't always show the same information as the object info panel.
And another note, even though I uncheck 'autoload' and 'save state' in preferences, I always end up with trueSpace initialising with the last item I was modelling. :(

In default layout (click on Default Tab at top), with Workspace open. To the right is the Stack View with three tabs "Library, Panels, Settings", click on "Settings" tab, this is a context sensitive area so you have to also click once in the Workspace area (3d view). This will open up the settings for 3d where you will see a panel that says "Post Process".
Settings for other windows is a matter of Clicking in them, for example for the 4D window, clicking in there will open up the settings for animation, now if window is selected for 2d Aspect (Link editor, LE) clicking on that will open up the LE settings. Hope this helps, let me know if not. |

Ahh,
Thank you noko,
I know this isn't down to you, but why didn't the manual tell me this?
I really believe that Roman et al at Caligari MUST get this manual sorted out. How on earth new users are getting on is beyond me.

Your Welcome!
Now I like to use AA settings that is in the Background panel at top. Postprocess has Super Sampling AA but that gives much more of a performance hit as a note. |

Hi noko,
Thanks 4 that. When I look at background settings, I don't have any options! (other than colour). The only option I see is 'none'

This is the panel you are looking for:
5962
The panels are context sensitive and each open 3D window has it's own settings. So the 3D window that you want to change the settings for needs to have the focus.

If your drop down menu for Antialiasing has no options then your video card may not support. What do you have for graphics, which drivers?
SuperSampling in Postprocess may still be available though. |

Thanks, noko. That'll be the problem then. I use an Inspiron 6400 laptop, Intel core duo, 1gig ram, but only the Intel 945GM chipset. Edge antialiasing is not supported in DX.
Guess I'll have to make do until I can afford a desktop!

Your welcome! Your laptop still seems very nice, just a little limited on the DX end. |
