When you are in Workspace, the Workspace Tab gets highlighted. But when you change your Layout, nothing gets highlighted. I am not sure if it did before now that i have added two more tabs. Shouldn't it highlight the one that's active? http://reinerstileset.4players.de/ext/tabs.jpg Post by Bobbins // May 17, 2007, 12:21am Bobbins Total Posts: 506 No, the tabs across the top are simply quick selectors for library items and by default they contain a few sample layouts to get you started. You can assign your own items to the tabs (click the down selector arrow to the left of them). E.g. you can create a custom library containing objects, scenes, layouts even materials - or any combination thereof. By assigning an object from the library to the tabs, all the items in that library will then appear as tabs. You could then select an object in the Workspace, click a tab that represents a shader in your library and the shader will be applied to the selected object. Likewise you could click a tab that represents an object in your library and the object is placed in Workspace. You should be able to see that it doesn't make sense for the tab to highlight in this case anymore than selecting an object makes the object, the object's material and so on highlight in a library. I have often clicked on my existing layout by mistake. Heh, that's the reason why i stumbled across this. In which layout am i at the moment? This issue becomes especially important when you want to change a layout and save it then :) Post by Steinie // May 17, 2007, 1:43am Steinie Total Posts: 3667 What Bobbins explained I didn't realize and those are pretty cool capabilities too! With that being said I would still want every tab I selected (along the top) during this session to be highlighted for the same reason that others have noted.
