Hey, does anyone know if 7.5 still has that old feature where you could make a camera and then, when in the camera's view, have a widescreen "box" outline to show where the camera would see?

Please oh please tell me it's here somewhere. If it isn't how do I know what I'm rendering? (You can tell I've never figured that out any other way. :D)

I just use the 'safe area' function in a small window in model side. R-Click on the view icon of that window to bring up the window size and set the safe area ratio you want-make sure you check the box to see the red square.

Is this what you meant?

...But you don't know what will show up on an NTSC or HDTV screen without the safe area, since you lose a portion of the edges, all the way around. That's why it's called a "safe area." :)

In most programs you actually get TWO boxes around an image - a smaller, "text safe" area, and a larger "action area" - because you can lose some of the action and still be able to tell what's going on, but you can't lose any of the text:

See?

Even film cameras have a safe area that can be seen on the camera's monitor. Being able to see this is very important when dealing with video, film and animation.
