Hi Paul, I've a quick question for ya. What sort of lighting set up did you use for Mr Chav??? I really like the look of that render???

HDRI (the kitchen one included in TS7 I believe) and one infinite light for the sun. Adjust to taste...voila...:D

How many samples??? I only ask because I'm having yet more problem rendering with HDRI

30 samples on a 1600x1200 render, raising that number looks cleaner but also darkens the scene-I wanted a more 'gritty' image anyway. Remember also that I always put my renders through PS to soften them; a stigma of being told that CGI looks too cold by many publishers and agents...

Can't say that I have had any trouble with HDRI other than your environment map problem.

Veeeery interesting Mr. Bond. I thought that larger samples, in the hundred's were need to get smooth results but judging by your render this is not the case...... So much to learn:o

Many Congratulations Paul. A well deserved win. For both Harold and your Chav alter ego. After all your work, a win in the monthlys is the least you deserve. Now we just await the news of a publishing contract.:D
