Ok, while setting up a new layout in workspace, I accidentally moved rather than copied a tool, and ended up closing a one button toolbar with the only copy of that button in the layout. Is there any way of retrieving that button.... in the layout I am working on? I'd hate have to go back to previously saved state because I had made several changes in getting this set up.

I tried the button library which seemed to be just the ticket, until I could not get the button I needed into the workspace no matter what I did... right drag, left drag, ctrl drag, shift drag..... right click and choose load... nothing seems to work from there..

Help! please.

if you know which toolbar it came from you can click on the right end to open up the 1d, 2d ,.reset and choose reset. that will do it :)

with the library buttons you must add it to an existing toolbar in windows manager space then move it

Thank you, reset did the trick.

But I don't understand about the library... what is "Windows Manager Space"?

it can be found in the link editor..its where everything used in a layout is stored. first go to //System with the orange triangle on the link editor window [its the beginning] or back one level from your scene which is called /Space 3d..to../Project /Windows Manager Space

Thank you again, I did try looking there before I asked, but the Windows manager Space was off the screen and I didn't think to move my view around... d'oh, got it now.
