I've been moving on with this series for about two and a half weeks now, making some good progress, I feel that things are just now starting to heat up..

here is the link:

I will be uploading some higher quality video's in a minute for the intro(free), and the body pt1. I hope you enjoy, and learn a bit from them. feel free to give tips, likely they may end up in one of the video's.

I nearly forgot, I've also updated the intro a bit including some of the corrections from guys here, namely Spacekdet and Jack edwards...thanks guys.

First thing that strikes me is your polygon distribution is way off and your loops around the joints are too tight, deformation will cause you some problems. The next thing is you have not defined any anatomy in the mesh, you might be going for a cartoon look, if not study some anatomy it will go a long way. Are you using any reference material for this? If not get some....I can't put my finger on it but stuff looks off. Keep at it though.

you're right, it is off. I am not focusing so much on a specific approach. I have a different approach for modeling. It is about showing how to model, and how to relieve problem areas and such so that people can come up with their own method. I don't want to send people down a specific path to modeling. It takes a bit longer, and it is a bit of trial and error at times, but I don't want to limit the student by saying that "you must put a loop here, now." I imagine many people think these video's are off. If you can already model a figure, then you are right. These are not aimed at that crowd...

Keep sending me input though, it helps me make decisions on the direction of the video's.

I will be doing another set, focused on higher level modeling and more detail, I will be charging more. I wanted to give the newer(to modeling)crowd a bit of a primer at a low price. Hope this all makes sense...

Well it looks like I am back to the drawing board...turbo squid has another limitation on the overall storage space I am allotted. So I am in the midst of re-recording with my original lesson plan, this means higher quality training, but a slightly higher price..more info to follow.

I just viewed the free video I gotta say It was entertaining I learn some things. I am going to buy them, they are cheap. So turbo squid has a limit on megs you are aloud to upload. It sounds like you need to get a website and open shop. I am going to get a website and sell game model pack soon. Yahoo has domains for $10 - $35 a month

I just got one, I will make an announcement when it is up and running. I appreciate the business, but I need to let you know the series is incomplete and will remain so until I am up and running.

The new vids are good, can't wait till you get to uv mapping, something i've struggled with before. I like the way you explain the thinking process behind the model, thinking in loops and bands, helps me see where i've gone wrong before.

Well!, thanks a lot...I'm still recording the next set of video's, taking a break(and having a smoke)...I'm just wondering if it is clear to everyone that the video's are password protected and you must buy the password? I'm getting a lot of downloads(2.8GB so far), but not so many sales..???
