Well guys, the new 3D World has a focus on 3D illustration and is one of the best editions I have read in a good while...definitely worth a read if you get chance to buy it. I subscribe but it should be in most UK shops from Saturday.

AND it has a 44 page architectural supplement.

Oh, and did I mention the tS7.5 review too...

Strange logic Paul...issues cost £6 each but a subscription is £11.70 each three months. Makes each issue £3.60 (thirteen issues a year).

Dont know how you can afford not to...:D

We get a very poor exchange rate from Euro to Pound. €1.00 = approx. 67p sterling. As a result, it's cheaper to buy each issue from the shop in town.

I don't get that...it costs about 10 euro in the shop so even with the poor exchange rate 3.60 still translated to less than 10 euro...

or am I getting this wrong. I only just moved to Ireland 6 months ago and the euro still confuses me at times...

Edit: Oh, wait, ignore me. Just checked out the site and it is pretty pricey to subscribe - 110 euro for a year...

and there is no way it's 25 pounds sterling for postage because I know it's only about 20% more for postage costs to europe from the uk....

The website is wrong. Surprisingly, the new issue of 3D World was in the Book Centre today, I wasn't expecting it for another week. Anyway, the website says £75 for rest of the world with the USA being £60, but in the magazine, Europe (including Ireland) is £60. That works out at just under €90. And 13 issues at €10 each is €130 so that's a saving of €40. So you guys are right, it does work out cheaper. They must have changed the pricing as the last time I looked into this (quite a few years back) it was dearer.

Brotherx, hope you haven't been affected by the water troubles in Galway recently!

Boy, are we gone way off topic here or what!! LOL!
