...wait until you start using it in other apps via the 3rd party driver

BTW Did you ever get the trueball.tsx to work???

Yes MM I had no problems getting everything to work following splinters' and your info in this thread. The trueball plugin worked off the bat. Not fully but enough to know it would work as it was talking to the device and after installing the 3rd party drivers everything works and very nice indeed

Wait wait wait :) yes the device shows up under the 3rd party drivers as a Windows game controller of course... good point thanks! so I can use it in Company of Heroes to whizz around the DX10 battlefield. Sweet :)

Not sure if I want to use it to fly a (virtual) Spitfire mind. But the Space Shuttle hmmm :)

Hmmm... this is sounding more and more interesting. Can't remember if I got around to answering the poll or not but it would be falling less and less into the last category and more into a 5th one of "I plan to purchase one". I have a few other apps that may benefit as well such as Poser 7.

Was a bit skeptical at first since I've tried various devices like trackballs and the like in place of a mouse only to find the mouse was easier. I think I can see the benefit to modelling with this one though.

I've just noticed that in TS using trueball.tsx with the' switch to wireframe while moving' option checked that it does indeed switch to wireframe when I move the SN. But sadly no movement of the scene. Any ideas??????

I think so yes MM. The SN started working properly in TS when that device driver showed up

But this is on Vista. I'm not sure if SN works in TS in XP I'll check soon from dual boot
