I've been looking for any news about the online manual and have found nothing.
Does anyone have any news on it?
thanks |

I don't think it's happened yet. Should be an announcement in the Captain's Blog when it does I think...

Hi all,
I think there is some confusion here about the "online manual"
The plan is that the manual will be updated regularly, and you download the update and install it on your hard drive. Updates can be as small as just for one chapter.
This was announced as it has never been done before - the tS manual was always static, updated only at point version releases, and then it was the whole thing that was updated.
The new plan is to keep making updates as and when, and release those updates as soon as they are available. So Norm I think made note that one chapter (chapter 10 I think it was) had no videos yet, but would be updated with videos soon. This means that you wont have to wait for another point update to tS before you see the manual update.
This will continue to happen - where we think the manual is lacking, we will add to it and improve it. We will add more videos to it as time allows. And these updates will be made available electronically on the web.
This is not, though, an "online manual" that is going to be a set of web pages that you can access. For one, it would be a very slow download to get all the graphics and videos in there! Better to download it once and have it on the hard drive :)
I believe there is some misinterpretation of the idea of an electronic manual with updates available online here though. Sorry for any confusion, and I hope this clarifies the current intentions!

I like the approach you've taken (even though I like printed better).
My suggestion would be to handle bug fixes the same way! |

I hope the updates will be specific to the Chapters so that we won't have to download the entire Manual again?
Thanks,

In his post abobe, Tom said (and I quote):

Ooops, I'm sorry, I guess I read that post too quickly (or I need better glasses) I'll try not to let that happen again :o

Bummer. Maybe a section of the forums can be set up for comments and questions about the manual chapters?
That way users can help each other work through the different chapters in the manual, add their own tutorials, and provide Caligari with feedback for improvements.
