I see some folks have got VRay 1.51 but there has been no big announcement about it on the forums or website (unless I missed it). Was just wondering if the 1.51 version got any extra features added like TrueSpace 7.51 got or is it just an update to bring it in line with TrueSpace 7.51?

No new features i noticed, i thinks it's just updated so it works with 7.51. SOme people seem to have noticed an improvement in performance though.

I also noticed the mouse wheel zoom. It didn't do that in 1.5 did it?

Very nice feature BTW! :D

Saw this from the most recent Captain's blog (tS7.51/VRay1.51):

V-Ray

Zoom and Pan of Vray render window

Easier rendering of single images to file

Reduced memory use for Hair rendering

Correct Subsurface scattering

Improved panels with more controls

The last item notes 'Improved panels with more controls'. What controls are added?

Cool, I thought that VRay1.51 only was "compability" version... didn't know it added features! :D

Oh, and when I downloaded tS7.51 ... I kinda "didn't know"/"didn't read" that Vray also had to be updated, and just installed vray1.5... ooh, that went badly

Lest we forget DOF, I believe that is new as well.
The color shaders seem to be better implemented, as well as others..

Dof came with 1.5 not with 1.51...

Im amazed with the Dof... it works very very well and is very easy to handle..
You may have problems locating de focus on a specific object but is not hard with a little practice.. :p
