Hi, when working in the realtime dx9 view it looks awesome of course. However, once I do the rendering it just does not look as good. I have tried all different settings, anti aliasing, quality, Virtual light, lightworks, vray demo ... I have tried all I can think of but still rendering quality is missing something. Any advice? Thanks much.

I never get any loss of quality when I do that. What I see is what I get.

I think he means that his VRay, Lightworks, and Virtualight renders don't look as good as the DX9 preview.


Part of the problem is that the DX9 window isn't an accurate representation of what the render engines will produce. Each render engine treats lights and materials differently. Also each render engine has it's own unique shaders as well.


JHowell, can you post a sample scene so we can give some pointers?
