Funny comparison! I've had to walk the streets of New York City on business a few times and it's hard to say which city is safer!
By the way, that webpage also has fireworks sounds in case your speakers were off!
Well right now all of us up here in Arizona wish we were anywhere but here... it was 117 degrees farenheight today, and it's still 104 or so at the moment now after sunset at 8:36PM Arizona time....

Happy 4th of July everyone! I will be spending the 4th at my uncle's house with bbq, beer, and fireworks. Family fun here on Long Island, New York. Hope everyone has a great one. |

I would love to go Paragliding, or bungee jumping or parachuting. The closest of which I have been on is This (http://www.oakwoodthemepark.co.uk/rides/vertigo.asp), a 140ft 3 man swing lol. |

Yes, Happy Independence Day everyone.
As for myself, I'll probably just chill. We moved to Virginia Beach VA 3 months ago and we're starting to get settled. Rough move! The beach is nice though, especially Sandbridge since there are no hotels and far fewer tourists. The interesting thing is I see a free air show almost daily due to the Oceana naval base, where pilots fly day and night.
Please think of the troops abroad and their families on Independence Day as well. They cannot be together as they should.

I went parasailing in Jamaica at least 20 times and loved every minute of it... nothing like it! (...except maybe one other thing...)

See, I couldn't do the bungee thing but I did leap off a 2100m (about 6800 ft) mountain in the austrian alps about 3 years ago in a tandem paraglide. that was probably one of the best experiences in my life...that and flying a microlite...and been hot air ballooning too which is kind of wierd...not at all scary so where's the fun....:D |

If the weather holds out I may be going boogie boarding this weekend but I am not sure.....just have to wait and see.

3DV Dude, 117 degrees in Arizona? That's why it is so not-hot here in the New Mexico desert -- 99 today. You stole some of our heat! Give it back! I think that it has not topped 100 yet.
Not-hot: a strange concept that I have no word for.
(Really it does get not-hot in the winter. Especially up in the mountains where not-hot, not-hard, not-sharp stuff has been known to fall from the sky.) |

US Capitol Building sunrise Washington, DC July 3rd 2007
I did a photoshoot in our nations capitol, getting there plenty early in the morning paid off with this sunrise shot with the sun getting ready to rise just behind our nation's capitol :).

Say, living over there in New Mexico you aught to grab a digital camera and a tripod and make some panoramic photo shoots. Great images to pop into trueSpace7.5x for Vray rendering. New Mexico has some of the most beautiful sky scenes on earth, get good enough at it and you could probably sell them too!:cool:

It frightens me too - I'm not exactly a strong swimmer and the sea near us is the atlantic so it ain't small surf...my wife on the other hand is a very strong swimmer and not at all frightened.....

If you have a larger version of that pic and wouldn't mind zipping it for upload here, I'd really love to use it for backgrounds and Vray illumination in various altered states... see below for an example...

Of course I'd give you credit for any use of it commercial or otherwise, not that any of my images rise to a true commercial quality level anyway!:o
The graphics work I've done commercially had been far more mundane than artistically creative for the most part... mostly adding some 3D spice to existing pamphlets and brochures, etcetera.
As for this particular image I have no intention of using it commercially although I do like it, what I really want to do with this image is play with variations of it in postwork and then add them to Vray as Global Illumination images rather than as an actual background.
This should be fun to play with in PSP and Vray as a GI image source, and whatever I come up with on that I'll be certain to share with you of course.
