Hi guys,

I've just finished re-vamping my old web-site. I'd appreciate any comments.

In an attempt to do my little bit to help promote TS7.5 I've added a page about TS and a 'trueMasters' gallery page that has some of my favourite works by some of the guys here at the forum. It's by no means meant to be an exhaustive list so if your not there please don't be offended and please follow the instructions on the page if you'd like a image of your own in the gallery.

Also, If you have a web site with your TS work on it, that's not listed on the links page then please send me a link and I'll be glad to add you.

link:- www.madmousedesign.co.uk (http://www.madmousedesign.co.uk)

BTW...If you've been to my site recently you'll need to refresh your browser, as the new site is built around the old one and you may be looking at the old pages in your cache.

Thanks for the link from your page. The design of your site is excellent, very clean. I like the colours too, very well chosen. I'm overhauling my site in a few weeks, i'll put a link to your site then. Do you have a banner i could put up? Also, who did you rent your web-space from, mines running out on the 17th and i'm shopping around.

Hi James, Thanks.

You can use this banner if you like.

As for my web space, I'm with 1&1. I'm no great web designer and 1&1 has an online WYSIWYG web creator that although is a bit limited, with a little patients can give good results and has allsorts of extra stuff tacked on.

Lovely site Steve, I really like it...a lot...:D

Just went to your link page and you do have to be knowledgeable regarding tS artists to spot who is who as you have simply put up the website address. Why not put the name (or nickname...or both) of the artist with a hyperlink to the website? I looked up and down before I realised that was Parva's Site.

If it had read Marcel Barthel (Parva) I would have spotted it right away, same for a few others...just a thought...:D

And the first line on the truemasters page reads;

Welcome to TrueMaters...

Thanks Paul, coming from a pro designer thats a real complement.

Did you mean the main link page or the truemaster gallery or both?

I did consider adding our forum names but some people use different names in different forums. W!ZARD specifically asked to have W!ZARD next to his name in the truemasters.

Its a simple matter to add them so If you want yours there then let me know.

As for the main link page does anyone else listed want their real name and forum name instead of the site URL???? Please let me know?

Steve

Intro didn't load for me using Firefox. Edit: it loaded the 2nd time though.... odd.

it's very nice and great work! :)

But to nit-pick... it's a bit busy, and the white, green, & blue color scheme a bit unbalanced and make the content a bit distracting. Site navigation is good but maybe a text nav bar at the bottom could help for people on PDAs or iPhones...

I agree with Jack about the colors, the bright white background became a distraction after awhile. A little too much going on.

I would also suggest keeping your trueSpace Master list like it is. Selected by you and not by entries. Keeps the quality up.

Very cool site!

Nice work Steve. I like that you've carried on many of the design features (fonts and colours) from the old site.

I personally don't find the colour scheme distracting although I feel that it is a bit 'busy' with lots going on. I like this though for two reasons; firstly, there is a convention in web design that decrees sites should avoid excess clutter and I'm always a fan on bucking convention and secondly, the busy-ness conforms to my image of a 'Mad Mouse'. Something all soothing and conventional and 'sane' would not fit as well IMO.

The white background, whilst bright, also conveys a 'clean' feel that ameliorates (my word of the week ;) ) the busy-ness.

I'm flattered that you placed my picture next to Marcels - he is a true "Truemaster" - it's an honour to have my work displayed with other such talented artists.

One comment; I did wonder if you had thought about the convention with trueSpace intials - lower case 't' and upper case 'S' - and applying this to your Truemasters gallery, thus making it "trueMasters". Just a passing thought ....

Putting on my old school teachers hat I'd say your site warrents a good 9 out of 10. Well done!

And the first line on the truemasters page reads;

Welcome to TrueMaters...

LOL! Once a teacher always a teacher!

Thanks guys,

It looks like the colour scheme is down to personnel tastes.

As for being busy, I've always liked sites with lots of little extra bits that you don't always see first visit. If you think this site is busy then you should of seen my very first Mad Mouse Design web site. It took me weeks and weeks and was a thing of beauty with lightning arcing from place to place, sparks flying and my mascot mouse running all over the place. It looked great (to my eyes) but was a devil to update. Compared to that this site is very subdued.

Good point W!Z I think I'll do just that. Thanks.

As no one else has commented on the point raised by Splinters about the links I think I'll leave them 'as is' for the time being.

P.S. Glad someone finally got that damn beetle, its been driving me mad :D

Thanks again

Steve

Steve,

Looks great.

I'm also delighted to be placed amongst such esteemed company. I did notice a spelling mistake in my comment though.

Looking forward to further updates.
